Gilbert Sachs Group experts recently assessed logistics sourcing opportunities, processes, and systems at a $10 billion vertically-integrated steel producer. As part of the project, we assessed organizational structure, skills and knowledge requirements, systems and tools, and management capabilities.
The assessment showed that there was a substantial benefit from consolidating fleet resources under one management team, and that aggregating their transportation sourcing activities would yield significant benefits.
Our findings helped the client to justify the launch 11 projects with an annual savings opportunity of over $9 million.
