Fran Sachs
Founder and Principal
Fran is a senior-level executive with demonstrated expertise in operating and growing service businesses. She has over 25 years of success building revenue and earnings by refocusing organizational goals, driving change, and motivating teams. Fran has extensive corporate and entrepreneurial experience, having worked in Fortune 500 companies, emerging middle-market companies, and start-ups.
Most recently, Fran served as Vice President of Operations for CSR Professional Services where she ensured that this fast-growing privacy compliance company had the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people and systems required to develop and support world-class privacy innovation, including its privacy consulting arm.
Prior to founding GSG, Fran was CEO of Vitalize Studios where she started and operated a retail business targeting a national roll-out. She also served as Executive Vice President of Preferred Commerce, a high-growth, market-leading internet start-up.
In addition to her executive level experience, Fran was a key player to the overall success of Town Sports International. As the Director of Strategic Planning for the nation’s third largest health club chain, Fran helped the company grow from 25 clubs to 130 with a revenue increase from $50M to $325M. During Fran’s time at TSI, she also managed new business development and acquisitions. Fran also spent three years with Prudential Realty’s Development Group where she managed their New York real estate investment portfolio, including the multi-billion dollar Times Square Redevelopment Project.
Fran holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Jon Gilbert
Founder and Principal
An expert in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, marketing, and planning, Jon has over 25 years of experience in improving service, building revenue, increasing efficiency, and integrating new technologies in diverse industries.
Prior to founding GSG, Jon served as Vice President of Logistics and Planning for NuCO2 (Nasdaq: NUCO) of Stuart, Florida a $135 million national supplier of beverage carbonation services and Co2 to the food service industry. He was responsible for all forecasting, planning and scheduling of product delivery and field services.
Jon built his career in logistics, supply chain management, marketing and planning at MF Electronics, BOC Group, and Pyle Corporation in the metropolitan New York City area where he held a range of key leadership positions. Jon has substantial management experience in turnaround, ramp-up, re-engineering and downsizing a wide variety of environments. His vast experience at various levels within the logistics and supply chain enforces his abilities to plan and implement at strategic and operational levels. Understanding the details makes Jon one of the strongest consultants within the logistics market.
Jon holds a B.S. from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University and a MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Elise Kidd Slansky

Elise Kidd Slansky is a passionate supply chain consultant and leader with over a decade of consulting and supply chain experience. She is a driven and goal-oriented professional specializing in procurement, strategic planning, research, and analytics. Elise excels at applying insights to achieve profitable growth, improve output and efficiency, control costs, and grow market share. She has a proven track record of working collaboratively across functions to share data and achieve alignment. Elise is a dedicated and resourceful leader who motivates teams, develops practical solutions, and drives successful implementations.
Prior to joining GSG, Elise held leadership positions in product management, merchandising, and analytics at W.W. Grainger and Essendant. At both companies, her work focused on SKU rationalization, portfolio analysis and procurement optimization, strategy development, contract negotiation, and finding cost-saving opportunities across operations.
Elise has years of consulting experience at McKinsey & Company and Deloitte Consulting with broad project and industry experience ranging from distribution services to aerospace, agricultural, chemical, and government clients. She has deep expertise in warehouse organization, process improvement, strategic sourcing, and pricing optimization.
Elise earned a B.S. in Supply Chain Management and a M.B.A. from the Geis College of Business at University of Illinois.
